![]() ![]() Microsoft says that if you reserve your free upgrade to Windows 10, “it will download once available and you can cancel your reservation at any time, and you’ll get a notification after Windows 10 is downloaded to your device. Removing this patch basically helps you get rid of all the notifications, but if you are running Windows 7 or 8.1 and you plan to upgrade to Windows 10, you’d better reserve your free copy of the new OS operating system to download it as soon as it becomes available. The notification is powered by Windows Update KB3035583, and as we’ve told you in the past, it will show up from time to time on your desktop and try to convince you to upgrade to Windows 10. This morning, Microsoft has started showing Windows 10 upgrade notifications on computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, and the company allows users owning PCs with any of these two OS versions to reserve their free copy of Windows 10. ![]()
